Tijdens onze rondreis door Florida zijn we naar een dierenpark geweest. Hier was ook de tentoonstelling “Washed Ashore” te zien waar met allerlei plastic materialen die uit zee gevist zijn, kunst is gemaakt. Ik vind deze foto daarom typerend voor het thema “Industrial”. Industrie zorgt er immers voor dat we steeds meer spullen produceren, maar doordat we hier niet goed mee omgaan, komt er helaas veel troep in onze oceanen terecht. Wel is het dan mooi om te zien dat er door middel van kunst aandacht voor wordt gevraagd en dit ondersteun ik dan ook graag.
During our trip through Florida we went to a zoo. Here we saw the exhibition “Washed Ashore” where all kinds of plastic materials that are fished out of the sea, were merged into art. I think that is why this picture typical of the ‘Industrial’ theme. Our industry produces a lot of new stuff, including plastics. Since not everyone disposes of plastic materials in the correct way, a lot of this plastic now pollutes our oceans. It was nice to see that art was created from this stuff to create awareness for this problem and I am glad to support this with this post.
